Style Of Service

Buffets, action stations, butler passed, plated, family style….we’ve seen and served it all! We’ve always worked to create a unique and tailored menu that fits the style of each event that we cater. Our attention to detail goes beyond what’s in the oven. You may have heard our event stylist, Ricky Carroll, say, “presentation is everything,” and we live by this motto!

The way the food is presented often sets the tone for the overall event. Butler passed works great for encouraging guests to mix-and-mingle, while action stations aim to provide an over-the-top dinner-and-a-show experience with the menu. To truly cater to your event’s style, we will incorporate different elements of style and service to give guests a fresh take on dinner.

We recently did just that for a wedding at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens! We served a plated meal featuring Stuffed Chicken Ballotine served with Truffle Mashed Yukon potatoes and additional side items, which were presented family style. This approach allowed guests to get a restaurant-quality presentation paired with the intimate warmth that a community table creates. By combining the plated entrée with the family style sides, we were able to solve the logistical issues that arise when entrees are served on over-sized platters that are too heavy to pass and take up a lot of space. Freeing up more of the table allows for a bit more elbow room and beautiful tablescaping.

Gone are the days of pre-packaged menus and three-option choices. Your food presentation is an integral part of setting the stage for your event. Our team works closely with each client to ensure your unique and beautiful presentation is just as memorable as the first bite.
